Prior to joining QMT Solutions, he served as Deputy Director of IT for the White House (Executive Office of the President), and held senior consulting roles at American Management Systems and Arthur Andersen. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Michigan, with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems.

Kevin Whalen is a senior executive consultant with over 30 years of experience leading strategic IT initiatives across industries. Known for his pragmatic leadership and cross-functional collaboration, Kevin has guided large-scale software development programs, process improvement efforts, and controls assessments for both custom-built and packaged solutions. His deep understanding of IT operations and regulatory frameworks makes him especially effective in SOX 404 compliance, where he helps organizations design and implement robust, audit-ready policies and procedures. Prior to joining QMT Solutions, Kevin held senior roles at Arthur Andersen, Daughtery Systems, and 361 Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ferris State University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
